Tiebreak

Privacy policy

Tiebreak is a static comparison site. This page explains in plain terms what we collect, including how we use Google Analytics. Last updated October 9, 2026.

What we collect

Tiebreak is served as static pages, so there are no accounts to create and no user profiles stored on our side. To know which comparisons get read, we use Google Analytics, described in the next section. We do not sell data.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Measurement runs through Google Analytics 4, a Google service (Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd.). It records pages viewed, the referring site, an approximate location down to city or country, device and browser type, and session timing. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. With advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation all switched off, none of it is used for advertising, and none of it is sold.

Cookies: Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, that last up to two years — but only after analytics is allowed. Consent: if you are in Europe (the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, judged from your device's time zone), a banner asks first, and nothing is sent to Google unless you click Accept; everywhere else, analytics is on by default and you can switch it off at any time. A browser sending the Global Privacy Control signal is treated as opted out. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key analytics-consent, not in a cookie.

Change your analytics choice here at any time. Google's privacy policy governs its side, and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on blocks Analytics across all sites.

Email, if you give it

If you subscribe to update alerts, we store your email address only to send those emails, through a third-party email provider bound by its own privacy terms. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and asking us to delete your address removes it. We will never share or sell your email.

Some outbound links are affiliate links that route through a /go/ redirect on our domain before sending you to the exchange. When you follow one, the destination exchange may set its own cookies and record the referral under its terms, not ours. What that earns us, and how it never affects a comparison, is set out in our affiliate disclosure.

Your choices

You can browse without giving us any personal details, switch analytics off, block cookies in your browser, and unsubscribe from emails at any time. For any privacy request, write to [email protected]. If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
