About Tiebreak
Tiebreak is an independent crypto-exchange comparison site. We do one thing: take two exchanges you are choosing between and break the tie, honestly, on the things you can actually check.
Why a whole site just for head-to-heads
Most people don't need another list of the "top 20 crypto exchanges". By the time you're ready to open an account you already have two names in mind — a friend uses one, an ad pushed another — and you just want to know which is right for you. That is the moment Tiebreak is built for. Every page compares exactly two exchanges on the same seven objective axes: fees, security, assets, regulation, custody, ease and region.
What we refuse to do
We do not predict prices, tell you what coin to buy, or run "get rich" content. We only ever compare where large, established, real-regulation exchanges hold and move your money. We will not review or link crypto casinos, presale or "1000x" tokens, paid signal groups, high-fixed-yield schemes, or anything gambling-adjacent — those are excluded on principle, not oversight. And we do not publish fabricated speed tests, invented fee tables, or numbers we cannot source: every fee, licence and availability claim is dated and framed as published rather than guaranteed.
How we stay independent
Some exchanges pay us a commission when a reader signs up through one of our links. Others — such as Bitstamp — run no such programme, and we still recommend them where they are the honest answer, saying plainly that they pay us nothing. A payout never changes a scorecard, and where a market cannot lawfully be promoted to US, UK or EU readers we write the comparison but place no sign-up link on it. The full picture is in our affiliate disclosure.
How to read us
Tiebreak is a research and comparison publisher, not a financial adviser, broker or exchange. Nothing here is financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy any asset. Crypto is volatile and you can lose all of your money; only ever commit what you can afford to lose entirely, and remember that keeping coins on any exchange means trusting a third party — not your keys, not your coins. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any exchange named on the site; brand names are used only to identify and compare the services honestly.
